Hello, I am a forward thinking, energetic mother of two children who are now grown up.

I have many years experience, working as, a child minder, nursery assistant , project /support worker, Learning mentor, teaching assistant and learning support assistant.

I studied a level 4 diploma in child psychology and development in order to gain a better understanding of young children and adolescents for which I received an NCFE diploma .

My previous jobs and my most recent job is as a teaching assistant (primary) at an alternative education provision for children who have been either temporarily or permanently excluded from school.

Previous to this I have worked as an engagement teaching assistant within primary & middle school pupil referral units, a learning mentor for children and young adults with barriers to leaning , also within a specialist nursery unit for children 0-8 years with autistic spectrum needs. As well as working as a project worker with homeless young people within a hostel environment.

Level 2 NVQ in business administration
NCFE Level 4 diploma in child and adolescent psychology and development
St.John Ambulance first aid certificate
NSPCC child protection
Protection of vulnerable adults
Enhanced and current DBS certificate (also subscribed to the DBS on-line service)
Full clean driving licence and own car- no endorsements

I do not hold a recognized childcare qualification.-Highest level of child care related qualification - NCFE level 4 diploma in child psychology.

I am not registered as self-employed and therefore would require the family to register me as an employee with HMRC .
