Although I do not hold any childcare qualifications, I have got a wealth of experience in looking after children. It is something I am extremely passionate about and would like to gain even more experience in and build a career in childcare.

I have had over two years experience with children, working with all ages and abilities and after stepping away for six months to gain experience in other settings. I miss working with children greatly and have decided this is where I belong. For a big part of my life I have helped care for my sister who has a great deal of special needs and has experienced mental health issues. It has been extremely difficult but it has helped me to understand how her mind works and it has been amazing watching her grow and progress. Through her growing up we went to a lot of meetings with other children with many different backgrounds and have dealt with various social workers so I know what it’s like from the children's perspective. During this time I learnt how to handle various challenging situations efficiently using my own knowledge and any available resources.

I would be more than willing to undertake any courses or training that would be necessary to help me build my knowledge and understanding in this area of work. I also possess a helpful attitude and am prepared to put in that extra effort which makes all of the difference.
