I am a 40+ year old female that likes to see children develop into individuals in a variety of situations.
I'm a qualified NNEB, for twenty-one years. During my working life I have been a nanny, a nursery manager, a day nursery room leader, a babysitter and finally a home carer. During my nursery work I also gained my Diploma in Pre-school Practice. I keep my first aid up to date.
I had a gap of seven years and became a qualified dispensing technician within a pharmacy. This I had to give up due to health problems.
During my free time I love: making things, cooking / baking / making jams, etc. Enjoy crafts and art. Can sew, I put my mind to it. But my main love is Scouting (I done Scouts and Cubs sections as leader in charge); and just looking for my next challenge. During which I have gained my camping / nights away permit, so I can take groups of children away. At one point I taught archery and air-rifle shooting; but had to give these up due to work commitments and lack of time to dedicate to them. Up until May 2015 I was also an adult training advisor for leaders within the Scout group I was with for 15 years. Before Scouting I was involved in Girl Guiding, first as a Brownie, Guide, then as a leader for ten years.
I drive, have my own car and a none smoker. I'm new in the area; having moved from Surrey (08/2015).
I have also recently completed and passed a "colour therapy" therapist course. Then with "cognitive behavioural therapy" therapist. I have also nearly completed a "holistic food and nutrition therapy" course. So I have a few things under my belt and therefore am easy going to what I can do.
I have had a long gap of not being able to work, for three years, nearly; due to a disability with my neck. This is a lot better, however, I can not do something's that I used to be!
