Alexander, auxiliaire parental - KA7 Ayr

I am Alexander . I am a commercial music student and I am in third year. Originally I am English, but I have lived in the highlands previously before moving to Ayr. I am looking to be able to care for children at your homes, if you offer work to me I will consider it. I can deal with emergency providing I am not working towards a tight deadline with my uni work, but I don't drive so I may be at a disadvantage here. I play guitar, piano and enjoy singing. I am currently working with two primary schools offering beginner piano lessons to P6 and P7 students. This is one to one work, and I believe I have been successful in progressing pupils further. I have additionally worked for Routes for all, where I have helped S5 and S6 students decide on college courses etc. This is mostly group work, but occasionally I am speaking to individuals within the class setting, and I believe I have had some impact on students decision making. Often I am put on the spot in these classes, and we do discuss things ranging from interviews to presentations.

I have always enjoyed working with people, so this is why I am interested in trying this out. I am no cook, but if you have something simple to make then all will be fine. Additionally, I have a TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) weekender qualification. I have a full PVG certificate also.

In terms of working with school work, I can always give advice, but I am no expert in every subject. However, it was only three years since I was at school myself, and I have in total 7 highers and one advanced higher. At the very least I can encourage your son/ daughter in the right direction to be able to then solve something they don't understand.

For games and activities, I believe that is something that is more catered to your son/ daughter, so please ask me about that. I have experience in making lessons for students, and also I have done some activities with the Routes For All classes also. On the TEFL weekender course, we did also talk about activities involving nothing but action, to teach English words to foreigners.

In general I would say I am an honest and thoughtful person. I believe the best compliment I have ever received was that "your so human".
