Alison, nounou - RG42 Bracknell north

I am an enthusiastic, committed and hardworking person. I pride myself in my communication skills, punctuality and trustworthiness. I enjoy working within a team but I also work well independently. I've always felt a connection with children which has lead me to peruse a career of teaching and childcare. I have learnt through my time at my current nursery that children require you to be caring, interactive and a positive influence in order to create the important bond they need with you. I am willing to become Ofsted registered for the right family.

I am currently working for a Bright Horizons nursery in Wokingham and have done since 2015. I have had a chance to work in every room but have spent the majority of my time in the 1-2's room and the 3-4's room. I have learnt to adapt my approach to children of different ages and have a good understanding of the requirements of individual ages. We are required to complete learning journeys for each of our 6 key children which will entail observing positive behavior and planning future activities to further this progress. This process helps create a great bond with your key children and to clearly see the areas they are excelling in and the areas that need some more attention.

I also work as a singing teacher in a local theater school called Artemis Studio's. I have classes with children from the ages of 4-18. This role has allowed me to get valuable experience with older children and better my teaching skills. I work in classes as big abs 15-20 or in one on one sessions also. I absolutely love teaching singing and am motivated to inspire more young people to find their voices and build their confidence.
