My name is Gemma and I am 18 years old. I grew up in South Africa and during my high school years, I worked as a babysitter regularly for many children in my community between the ages of 2 months and 12 years. I also completed my Lifeguard qualification in 2021 and worked as a qualified lifeguard until I moved to France. This qualification included a first aid an CPR ranking. I moved to Paris to work for a family in Paris 17eme, where I look after two children - A 2 year old girl and 6 year old boy. As an English nanny, i have been teaching them English and they have made so much improvement in learning the language. I am responsible for looking after the 2 year old everyday, picking up the 6 year old after school and keeping them busy with creative activities, such as painting, drawing, cooking, baking, building puzzles and the list goes on. I also cook meals daily for the family. I am also responsible for cleaning the house, which includes intensive deep cleaning (toilets, dusting, furniture, windows, etc). It has been a beautiful experience watching the children grow and learn so many new things that i get to teach them! I feel proud, but blessed to be a part of these milestones in their life.
