Sally, assistante maternelle professionnelle - DE21 Chaddesden

Hi, I'm Sally, I am 48 years old with two grown up children who no longer live with me. I worked in a Day Nursery for a year when i was 16 and left there to do my Nursery Nursing training at Mackworth College, where I earned an EMFEC certificate which at the time, was a years course as opposed to the two year NNEB course.
I have worked in private houses, schools and nurseries and was part time childminder for two children for many years.
Mortgage and family commitments prevented me from carrying on with my desired employment and it is only recently that i am in a position to commit myself to working with children again. I have missed the company of babies, youngsters and children of all ages, and still have a lot to offer. I am fairly strict, but fair, and have a good rapport with most children; i can usually find a way in to even the most stubborn child! I love education through play, i love to encourage imagination alongside teaching little ones how to care for themselves and deal with life's little problems as they grow.
I have a great respect for parenting, and believe strongly that working parents should always feel confident to leave their children in my care, having brought up children of my own, i understand a lot of the difficulties parents face.
I am patient, experienced, happy, hard-working and trustworthy and am so excited at the prospect of working with children again.
