Laura, assistante maternelle agréée à Willand EX15

Having worked with children for over 19 years and have a wealth of experience with children aged between 0-18 years.

After college I started working in an Private Day Nursery as a nursery nurse and soon became the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinater) for the setting. This required dealing with children with challenging behaviour and working closely with the area SENCO in order to find ways in which to help the children in our care.

After 3 years I was offered a Deputy Managers position at different setting, where 6 months later I was promoted to Manager. I worked as the manager of that setting for 4 years and in that time I worked with a close knit team to provide children with a high standard of childcare.

Soon after leaving Lancashire to move to Devon and was offered a Position at as a Care Co-Ordinater (specialising in childcare) at a busy Nursing and Care Agency. This allowed me to still work with children whilst liasing with many different professionals to provide nursing and respite to families. I also taught the Working with Children training day which includes Child protection and Special Needs. I left to go on Maternity leave in 2010 and have now started my own childminding service.

I also have experience with my own Daughters aged 5 years old and 3 years old.

I have Ofsted approval to have 2 under 1 years of age in my care.
