Lelanie, baby-sitter - 1570 Galmaarden

I'm of South African Nationality and recently moved to Belgium to get married. I'm registered for Language classes starting September 2016. I have a good knowledge of understanding Dutch. I'm currently doing self study in speaking dutch, I can communicate but would rate myself only 20% efficient.
I am interested in taking care of children of all ages.
With English being my first language I can offer assistance to older children in the language
I enjoy spending time with children of all ages.
As caretaker/babysitter, I find friendship, discipline and mind developing activities important. Every child have individual needs because of their different personalities, identities and background.
I've taken care of my 4 nephews in South Africa. Specifically one nephew, I lived in with my sister and took care of him up to the age of 3 months.
If required by their age, small educational activities are included while playing, such as counting, colours, telling time, tying shoes, brushing hair and teeth, explaining the importance of hygiene, distinguishing between right and wrong and good behaviour.
Activities and games are specific to each child. Depending on their personalities and fantasies. I believe that being creative; drawing, painting, building, is important in a child's development. Games played include Board games, hide and seek, playing with action figures, cars. Also fantasy games based on their current favourite hero such as pretending to be robots, pirates, etc.

I believe that the younger a child the more important it is to have a safe, secure and stable enviroment to grow, develope and trust.
