Hi, my name is Gillian. I am looking for special family who will be the right fit for my unique situation. I am a Mother of 2 boys, a 5 year old who attends SK at Bridlewood School and an 11 month old. I am looking for a family who would be willing to let me bring my baby into their home and also allow for drop off and pick up at school of my older son. I am originally from Scotland where I completed my college diploma in Child Care and Education, since then I have garnered over 18 years experience in the child care field. I have worked in a variety of roles, examples including: in daycare in both assistant and senior roles, a nanny for 3 different families and most recently running a successful home daycare business and not forgetting being a mom! My approach to raising children is a well rounded one. I provide a variety of engaging activities and a stimulating indoor and outdoor environment to help the child thrive. Crafts, ABC's, numbers, songs, stories, baking and outings are all areas I focus on. I believe strongly in good manners and encourage this as often as possible. I am a happy and outgoing person who enjoys being around kids and promotes fun for the everyday. I recently moved to Kanata from Oakville where I made valuable friendships and bonds with the children and families that have been in my life and I am looking to do the same here.
