About me:
I am proud to say I have been inspected by Ofsted twice and both times have been awarded the grade of Outstanding.
As the numbers of children who attend are small & limited (from choice we care for fewer children than actually registered to) this creates a homely, welcoming, friendly, caring and stimulating environment for your child, where they are respected for the individual that they are. Both my assistant and I are compassionate, loving, warmhearted and kind - more than happy to give cuddles when wanted - and offer a home from home environment along with lots and lots of fun, resources, activities, walks, trips to parks to play and feed ducks and visits to childrens groups. We also sometimes go a bit further afield - recently we have visited Kent Life and have been on an exciting train ride from Maidstone West to Wateringbury where we had a walk by the river and saw boats sailing by, then enjoyed a picnic watching the swans and ducks.
We have lots of experience of caring for children with differing abilities and needs - all children are respected for their individuality and we not only work with parents but outside agencies if needed.
I am an Affiliate Member of Pacey (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years, formerly NCMA) and we are fully insured through them.
I am able to offer free (Government funded) places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.
My Experience:
I am a mature parent of 2 now adult "children". I have worked with babies, children and young people for very many years, previously for KCC, and hope to continue for many years to come! My Daughter also works with me as my more than qualified assistant , and my Son works outside our home with vulnerable teenagers, so caring runs in the family.
We work hard to help the children in our care reach their full potential. We both have lots of experience and qualifications and also regularly update and add to our training.
My assistant has over 5 years experience working as a Nanny, in a School setting and with myself.
My Qualifications:
I have an English degree but of more importance are my relevant childcare qualifications/training, all of which have been updated during the last 2 years:-
*Diploma (Level 3) in Children and Young Peoples Workforce
*Paediatric first aid certificate (regularly updated training)
*Early Years Education certificate
