Karlee, baby sitter - BS5 Bristol

My name is Karlee Kate , i am 18 years old and have attended Soundwell city of bristol college to get my level 2 grade in level 2 child care, learning and development. i know all about how to look after children from birth to a teenager, i have also passed my peadiatric first aid so i know what to do when a child is hurt.

I am looking for any babysitting jobs or childcare day jobs but i really don't mind. I am keen to get back to looking after children any age range and would be happy to help in any sitiuation you put me in. I am reliable, trust worthy and get along with others really well.

i recently went to work in a nursery as bank staff and we palyed loads of games. we played games like eye spy, catch and even stuck in the mud. I had the challenge to make a game up with only using pipe cleaners, fabric, felt tips, glue, paper and string. i decided to make a game that helps children with learning their numbers and colours. i had a piece of string and tied it to two chairs in height of the children so they could reach it , and made fish shapes out of the paper and coloured them in different colours.

On the fish i wrote number 1-6 on them and glued pipe cleaners on the back of them so they could hand on the line. And with the fabric i cut it in to circles and wrote the numbers 1-6 on them too and placed them on the floor near the string. The children had to work as a team to sort the number fish in the right order on the string and then had to put the fish on the right coloured fabric and the right number to.

When making the game i had to consider health and safety when the children are playing the game. so i turned the chairs the opposite way so the children would not trip over the chairs i also put the string in level with the children's waist as it would not hurt them.
