I am a qualified NNEB Nursery Nurse with thirty years experience in child care. I love to explore the outdoors with children and I completed my Forest School Leaders training in 2008.
I am married and we have three grown up children aged 19, 21 & 23. I did not work while my children were pre-school aged and loved being a stay at home mum.
I have had a variety of childcare roles including a nanny, working in a private day nursery, working for social services in a family centre, working in a school with children with physical disabilities and a learn mentor in another primary school, I also ran a small pre-school for six years. Everywhere I have worked I've enjoyed taking weekly forest school sessions.
Encouraging children to grow in confidence and have fun while playing and learning is something I always enjoy, keeping children safe, putting clear boundaries in place and having a routine are all important.
I am looking for a role working with children part time, I would consider any role.
