Alix, baby sitter à Birstall smithies WF17

My name is Alix , and I am an 18 year old who is currently on a gap year. I am looking for work during my gap year before I go to university in September to study Politics with International Relations at the University of York.

I am hoping to help provide babysitting for families who need it, or even after school help. As I have 12 GCSE's, 3 A-levels and 2 AS levels, and am more than happy to help with homework, as it is a very important part of education.

I have volunteered at Birstall Beaver colony since 2013, working with 6 and 7 year olds and helping run meetings in which they learn new skills, make friends and, most importantly, have fun! These take place both indoors and outdoors, and through this role I am DBS checked, and will be doing leader training in the near future, which includes learning about safeguarding. I have also volunteered for the past half term in the EYU at St Peters C Of E Primary School in Birstall, working with children aged 3-5.

From these experiences I have learnt many different games and educational activities, as well as different methods of encouraging good behaviour. I have also learnt how to soothe crying children, as well as making them laugh.
