I have looked after children for over 25 years. All of the children I have cared for I have done so in their own homes. I have taken care of several families in the last 25 years and the only reason I have left is because the children were at an age where they no longer needed child care. I have even stayed when parents have gone on trips leaving the children with me.
I do not mind light housekeeping and preparing meals, homework etc. Going to the park... playgrounds... story time at the library... board games and reading is a big part of the day. Television for a short time on rainy days but I find when tv is not involved.... days go by so much smoother.
