Teaching is my passion and if anyone asks me about what gives me the drive to do it, my immediate response would be "children".

I come from a very large family and growing up together, we always looked out for one another. I have watched my nieces and cousins from as young as three months when their mother's have been ill, traveling for work or just tutoring for English and Social Sciences.

I am a trained English language teacher (ELT) and specialize in English as an Additional Language (EAL). My current dissertation is a case study in EAL and it is amazing how children are such delicate and intelligent little humans.

Psychology was one of my subjects in college and because of which, I possess the skills of awareness, empathy and reasoning. All these and more that are required when surrounded by young learners. I am currently on a placement once a week with Y3 and Y6 students at a mainstream school (for my research) and it is such a wonderful experience. Not only do they bring back memories, but they surprise me everyday with their knowledge and skills they bring to class.

Apart from baby sitting, I am willing to provide tutoring in the fields of English (course curriculum), primary school subjects, English language and linguistics. Although I do not possess a QTS or NTS, I have the following qualifications- BA, BEd, Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication, Cert in TESOL, Cert in TEFL-C and currently pursing MA TESOL.

It is very important for children to grow up in a secure and caring environment and what I have to offer will not disappoint any parents.
