I have been an experienced childcare provider - I absolutely adore children and I love working with them. I have worked in a number of diverse settings as both a nanny and a babysitter with children of all ages, particularly with young children, infants and toddlers. I also have my Vulnerable Sectors Check available.

Services

I can provide a number of services including: childcare, tutoring, educational/developmental learning and growth, progress in child development milestones, structured and unstructured learning, pet care (I love all animals), meal preparation and light house cleaning. My priority and my focus will always be on the children first and foremost, but am fairly flexible with other, family specific needs.

Experience

I worked for a year as a nanny for a wonderful family of four in B.C. I prepared meals for the children (with the help of a precocious three-year-old boy), I would take them for walks and play in the park. I put the baby down for naps each day and would do my best to help the family in whatever else they needed. I also worked for a number of families over the years as a babysitter for children of all ages. I spent a lot of time providing childcare for families with newborn infants. Some of my childcare has involved: structured and unstructured learning/development activities; playing indoors and outdoors; going for walks and to parks; preparing and feeding healthy meals and/or a bottle; changing diapers/pull-ups, bathing and cleaning up the children; and, following different nighttime routines.

Education

My education has also help in my role as a childcare provider. I took a year of nursing courses and have also taken child development psychology courses that have helped me in all aspects of providing care for infants and children. I love the work, I find it incredibly rewarding which is why I want to continue this doing this work in the future!
