My name is Vera and I’m originally from Italy.
I’ve been living in the UK for the last 16 years. After leaving a career in advertising, I home educated my 12 years son up until a couple of months ago, when our family relocated from London to the Cotswolds.

Due to my child's special needs, I got familiar with co-regulation and de-escalation practices and I became passionate about child-centred approaches to education. Over the years I’ve happened to volunteered at a Steiner school in London and designed and teach audio/video editing classes to the college students. And more recently, between 2022 and 2023 I have covered the role of co-director at Gamechangers, a London-based learning community for home-educated children, inspired by democratic and humanistic principles.



As a qualified Hand in Hand Parenting Instructor, I offer emotional support and education to parents and professionals working with children. I run in-person and online classes and workshops, both in English and in Italian. The pedagogic approach I follow is trauma informed and in line with the latest neuroscience.

I am a honest, curious and respectful person who strongly believes in collaboration. When working with children, I like to create a trustful atmosphere based on mutual respect. I love using therapeutic play and exploring how each young person prefer to connect.
