Harriet, garde d’enfant - IV3 Lewiston

Hello, my name is Harriet and I've recently moved to Inverness with my boyfriend to be closer to his family. I'm looking for any type of full or part time work. I have a passion for working with children and their families and would love to hear from you!

I've always had a love for working with children and my experiences have only strengthened this. As a child carer I value communication and strong relationships both with children and parents/ guardians as highly important. I always keep the child's best interests at heart and pride myself on 'keeping the child at the centre'.

I graduated from university 3 years ago with a First Class BA Hons in Education. Whilst studying I volunteered in a number of educational settings (including Special Educational Needs as well as mainstream) working with children from as young as 1 all the way to 16. Since graduating I have had experience working as a team leader in a Nursery and as a TA in a Primary school. During my time at the Primary School I was responsible for a student experiencing Type 1 Diabetes, ran an After School Care Club and worked full time as a Teaching Assistant across the school but primarily I was based in KS1.

I also have experience as a dancer; dancing at Disney Land Paris and The Royal Albert Hall. I enjoy bringing the art of dance into activities and have experience leading after school dance groups. In addition to this, having ran an after school care club I have experience in organising and delivering numerous activities from baking, crafts, sports competitions to adventure trails and treasure hunts!
